Domaine Badoz – Tien generaties vakmanschap in de Jura Sinds 1659 staat de familie Badoz in Poligny, in het hart van de Jura, synoniem voor…
The essence of Jura Nestled between Burgundy and the Alps, the Jura produces red wines unlike any other in France. Light, refined and vibrant, they capture the region’s mountain freshness and artisanal spirit – wines of precision and purity. Terroir – marl and limestone Jura’s vineyards sit on slopes of blue marl and limestone, at altitudes between 250 and 400 metres. The cool continental climate yields wines of subtle colour and great aromatic delicacy – refined yet full of character. Domaine Badoz – heritage and harmony Based in Poligny since 1659, Domaine Badoz is a family estate spanning ten generations. Known for precision and respect for nature, it offers two red cuvées that define the region’s identity: Grains de Poulsard 100% Poulsard – pale ruby, floral and ethereal. Notes of wild strawberry, rose petal and spice. Light-bodied and silky, with a clean mineral finish. Cuvée Vermeil A blend of Pinot Noir and Trousseau. Deeper, more structured, with cherry and raspberry tones and elegant oak balance. Complex yet graceful. Together, they showcase the dual nature of Jura reds: fragile beauty and quiet power. Food Pairing – subtle and refined Poulsard: with poultry, charcuterie or mild cheeses like Comté. Vermeil: with veal, duck or mushroom dishes. Delicate, digestible wines – perfect for those who seek purity and finesse.
